This was the first building we delivered using Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and wood fibre. Creating a natural building envelope was important for the health and wellness studio, and was a natural fit for this type of system. Initial assembly took five hours of installation time, which hid the amount of work to finish.

 

While all projects that are first, naturally have their downfalls, Estudio took inspiration from the LINK Arkitektur Farmhouse, to provide a sense of what we wanted to accomplish and where we wanted to go.  Influenced by traditional gable-roofed farmhouses, it modernizes the familiar form by introducing glazing to offer views of the mountains and the surrounding gardens.
