This compact, efficient design makes for a beautiful alpine home that nicely integrates and nestles into the surrounding neighborhood. The 5 floor to ceiling windows across the great room are a central design feature flooding plenty of natural light into the open living space. Other design choices focused on incorporating a lot of woods and other natural material finishes. Pine is the selection for both the kitchen cabinets as well as the tongue and groove sloped ceiling. 
As for building processes, this house capitalized on the use of prefabricated wall assemblies reducing on-site construction time and risks and elements due to weather. These are highly insulated wall systems comprised of healthier, denser materials produced in BC making for a smaller carbon footprint and less harmful chemicals for the home.
