Infinity Forest

On any normal night, no one would pay any attention to this back alley corridor. During Luna Art Festival however, our city’s under-utilized spaces come to life in ways that are both ingenuitive and beautiful. We built a seemingly-infinite forest in this space with a collaboration of multiple mediums inspired by the works of Yayoi Kusama’s infinity room. The brilliant artistry of Jessica Leahey and mastery of Rob Buchanan brought this to life.

ABOUT THIS HOME

Reimagining our city

Stylistic birch trees made from random size construction sono tubes, ethereal fairy lights, reflective infinity surfaces, and a conservative application of smoke machine wonder set the mood for this nocturnal borderless forest in an abandoned urban space forgotten between buildings.

My ideas and creativity are the sources of inspiration for me - Yayoi Kusama

SUSTAINABILITY DETAILS

Most of the construction supplies and materials for this installation were ‘borrowed’ from a future Tree project. The mirrors were all borrowed in order to re-purpose, reuse, and reveal.
