Each space curated and artistically coloured as a sanctuary for entertaining, healthy living and relaxation.

The inspiration for this project came from a farmhouse in Norway. The simple lines of the house underscores the majesty of the scenery and is captured by the glazing components. Using a combination of mass timber and wood fibre to create the structure, it hides the complexity of the engineering under its simple elegance. Careful consulting across engineering and the architectural suites was a challenge, but the results are breathtaking. Countless design hours by the illustrious Kim Offord complimented the architectural suite with her creative lighting array, and thoughtful material selection. Each space curated and artistically coloured as a sanctuary for entertaining, healthy living and relaxation.
The composition of an entirely natural building assembly ensures a healthy indoor air environment. A rain water collection system, solar PV and a passive building envelope were just some of the innovations applied to this home, aspiring to be a net zero ‘cabin in the woods’. The Shou Sugi Ban siding completes the entire passive building assembly offering additional protection from forest fires, and ensuring the longevity and elegant aging of a classic design, never growing old, always timeless.
